These professional eye pins from Art Clay Silver are made of fine silver (.999) and specially designed by Art Clay Japan for attaching a jump ring to a pendant, charm, or earrings.
Perfect for silver clay designs where a clean, minimalist, and professional finish is desired.
Application and Use
The flat screw eye pin is inserted into fresh silver clay and secured with silver clay syringe paste or original silver paste (minimum 3 layers) to ensure a strong and durable bond.
Insert the eye up to the curve so that a small portion is embedded in the clay design. This is essential for a secure attachment: during firing, the clay shrinks, and without proper embedding the neck of the eye pin may become a weak point.
Make sure the pin does not protrude through the clay and is fully covered. If necessary, insert the eye at a slight angle or trim part of the pin to achieve the correct length.
