This template can also be used to transfer designs onto thin sheet metal. For best results, lightly satin-finish the surface with a Scotch-Brite pad before tracing the design with a scribe. Alternatively, cover the metal with masking tape or a self-adhesive label and draw the outline on the surface. This makes the lines easier to see and helps achieve more accurate sawing or cutting.
