Using the lapel pin in metal clay

Allow the piece to dry completely.

Drill a hole matching the size of the pin head in the desired location.

Fill the hole with paste and insert the pin.

Finish with additional paste so the pin is fully embedded in the silver or metal clay.

Allow to dry thoroughly and then fire.
Important: Fire this brooch pin without the safety clutch.
During firing, oxidation may occur, resulting in a black layer. This can be removed with a green scouring pad or fine sandpaper.
The pin can also be soldered.
