Safe acid bath powder is dissolved in hot water to remove tarnish or oxidation (after firing) on sterling silver, copper or bronze.
It is also used to remove solder flux and discoloration after soldering.
Do not use metal tweezers to remove your jewelry from the bath, otherwise the copper that has dissolved will precipitate directly on your silver. It is best to use plastic or copper tweezers.
The solution can be used more often by reheating it in the microwave, candle or hot plate. The formed crystals simply dissolve again. If it becomes cloudy or blue, you can refresh the bath.
